¶405b–¶411 Brother Branham tells it, ‘They all got to building little walls of partition between one another, and they can’t have a revival.’ That’s right. He’s right about that.”—Ed.] That’s just it. Brother Ed, that’s what it did. Oh, isn’t that wonderful? I like that little testimony, brother. Now the car radio is hooked up, is what they say in here, this part here. Everybody feeling good now? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] Well, now, we’ll start right in now until midnight, then we’ll… [“Amen.”] We are so happy that the Lord has helped us and blessed us. Now, before we start again, let’s just have a little word of prayer to the One Who we’re talking to now. Gracious Heavenly Father, You hear the testimony of this godly, saintly, old man. Down through the age, him and his little wife, working together, and how that she had to hold onto You, and beg You to make a preacher out of her husband, and here he is. And then when he was laying there, dying, the best doctors in the country saying, that, “He’s gone. He can’t live but a few hours. It’s done. His body is eat up with cancer. He could never walk another step. The infection in his ankles, and so forth, has done took him away.” Here he is, years later, still Now we pray, Father, that You’ll let us lay out the Words this afternoon, from Thy Word. It is Thy Word, and we want to lay It out just the way It is. And then You water It, Lord, with the Spirit. We ask, as we commit ourselves, with the Message, to You, that You use us, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
¶534–¶540 Christ’s Pentecostal bride did the same. She can’t bring forth spiritual, Word Children, for she is a hybrid herself. How can she do it, when she’s hybrid herself with the denominations? Done joined up with them, and everything, just the same as they are. In with the Council of Churches, and everything else, just as hybrid as the rest of them are. How can she do it? She can’t. Now, I just got so much to say, and I just got to hurry over these. I…Each one of them I want to preach on. See? Now watch. The true Bride, hallelujah, there’s going to be One. Why? She’s predestinated. She won’t be denominated, because She’s predestinated. See? She don’t have to worry about some denomination. She’s already predestinated to take the place. Look. Like Mary… I want you to get this now, and don’t fail. Are you ready? Say, “Amen.” [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] When Christ comes to His Bride, She will be a virgin like Mary was. For God will not bring Christ through a womb of a whore, and neither will He bring the Bride. He can’t bring His Word through a whore of His Word. Them is horrible words, but that’s what the Bible says. I’m saying what It says. Cause, It’s…This has got to be understood. The true Bride, like Mary, will have a virgin womb for the Bride of the Word, which is Christ. When Christ, the Word, comes to the Bride, She’ll be the same as He is, a virgin by the Word. O God! I hope—I hope it’s going over, Brother Neville. I…
¶635–¶638 Christ’s bride did the same, mixed her denominational seed, and put Christ, her espoused husband, away. You dry-washed bunch of Pentecostals! What’s the matter with you? Revelation, the 3rd chapter and the 20th verse, we find, in prophecy, Jesus Christ outside of His Own church, in this Laodicean Age, knocking on the door, trying to get back. [Brother Branham knocked on the pulpit—Ed.] The most pathetic picture in the Bible. What’d she do? She took on whoredom. When Jesus comes, what’s He knocking for? Jesus come back to receive His Bride, and when He come to knock at the door, He was fastened out. [Brother Branham knocked on the pulpit—Ed.] “Why, you can’t come in here. You can’t hold a revival. Get…Let me see your ordination papers.” A man filled with the Spirit of God, the real, true God Words, God’s Word made manifest among his ministry, not one thing you can say against him, immorally or anything. Who can accuse him of it? Come to a denomination, “Why, he ain’t Oneness. He ain’t Assembly. He’s Trinity. He ain’t Trinity. He’s Assembly.” You poor bunch of illegitimates. Shame on you. God, on the outside! But what did John say, that last messenger down there, before His Coming? “He’s able of these stones to rise children to Abraham. Don’t you come, saying, ‘We belong to this. We belong to that.’ God can, these stones, rise children to Abraham.” All right. As we go on now, oh, how I love this! Christ’s bride, as same as Adam’s bride and all the rest, mix the seed and put Christ out, for her denomination. She sure did it, she certainly did it, she refused God, her to-be husband, like Eve did, accepted Satan’s death-lie weeds, and it results a dead, formal church has been born from her. Now, you say, “That’s a lie.”
¶750–¶757 They couldn’t see it, ’cause they’re of their father, the devil. Their denominations wouldn’t let them see it. That didn’t stop the Word from going on, just the same. It fell on some, right, and from that come a Bride, that generation. All right. How different, painted fire! Jesus could—could say, “The Father that sent Me,” is with Him. “And the works that I do, testify, because I do the same things the Scriptures said I would do.” Jews knew their historical God. Same now. Yes. Why did they know the historical God? Is because they had the historical seed. Why did they not receive Him? Because it was hybrid with denomination. Jesus knew Who sent Him, for He that sent Him was in Him. And there was no denomination tied to Him. Amen. Tell me which one. “What school did he come from?” They say, “Where did he get this wisdom? Where was this learning come from?” They couldn’t find a school that He ever went to. And, yet, at twelve years old, He confounded the scribes and the Pharisees. Oh, my! That spoke of it. Why didn’t they say something to Him, as a kid? It was God’s Word. They couldn’t withstand That. No wonder the people were astonished at His Doctrine! Did you ever read that? Mark 1:22, if you want to put it down. “The people was astonished at His Doctrine, because He taught like somebody that had authority.” He knowed what He was talking about. See? The Church now should have a double portion of the Spirit. For it is true, like Elijah’s garment that fell upon Elisha, a double portion, the same thing come from Jesus Christ. Now, you say, “Oh, Brother
¶832–¶836 Adam’s bride rejected to bring Life. She brought death. We’re her product, our bodies. We all die. Look at us, you can see. Jehovah’s bride died, He divorced her, and took a people out of the Gentiles, for His Name. Is that right? His Name; like a woman takes a man’s name, the bride. Now what’s she done? The same thing they did the other time, denominated herself, polluted. But in every generation, every revival brings forth some prophet of God. A prophet is a “preacher, true preacher on the Word, that stays with the Word,” and they bring forth a revival that gathers that Elect out of that generation. Then she goes into seed, then God will never use it again. I ask any theologian, any historian, to tell me one time that a denomination ever rose up. She never. She died when she denominated, and there’s where she laid. I think of Dwight Moody, the Moody Bible, dead as midnight. I think of the Methodists, the Pentecostals, the Presbyterians, the Lutherans, the Nazarenes, the Pilgrim Holiness, godly men raised up, Buddy Robinson, and—and George Whitefield, and all those great, godly men that preached the Gospel. And that generation received the Seed that was sown for their part. Like the corn, whether it was the stalk, whether it was the leaf, whether it was the tassel, whether it was the grain; whatever it is, that minister brought the Word of that day. It called from the four winds of the earth and took the Elect of that generation. Through them Elected ones, has built the House of the living God.

¶41–¶47 Like, the virgin was to bring forth the body of God, on the earth. She was an elected woman. God chose Mary. And, also, God has chose an elected Lady, which is His Bride. She’s elected. I hope we’re members of that, tonight, across the world, across the nation, rather. The illustration here, showing the relationship of Bride to Christ, the elect Lady: and how She was to be brought to Him; where She would come from; and how that She would be brought to Him. The Church here, in illustration that we got in view, is illustrated by a woman. Which, a woman is always a type of the Church, because the Church is considered a Bride. A Bride, She is the Bride of the Lord Jesus, the Son of God. Always, if you’ll watch, watch the conditions and the conduct of women, and you’ll see where the church is. Now, this, some of these remarks may seem strange to some of you, but it’s complementary to the Message that I have from the Lord, that I’m trying to get to the peoples. See? You watch everything in the natural, how it’s happening, nature, and watch it. It runs sure with the spiritual, also. Now, if you’ll see the conduct of women in the world today, watch the conduct of the worldly church today. Just watch. Of course, now, there is also the conduct of the spiritual Bride, the Church. See? Watch That, also. [Blank spot on tape—Ed.] Because, the natural so call, claim to be Bride. Now, please let me say again to the local assembly. Don’t feel bad now. I’m—I’m speaking to all out across the country, to the, what I think, the elect Lady. So if there happen to be ministers in here, that doesn’t agree, well, just hold your peace for a little while. See? Notice. Just listen.
¶53–¶56 Luther was the messenger of one day, of justification, and the Church lined right with it, some of them. The rest of them continued on. Wesley come with sanctification, the Church lined right with it. Pentecost come with the restoration of the gifts, the Church lined right with it, the Elect of that day; and then faded away, went right back off in denominationalism and went right out with the rest of them, all of them right down along the line. Now, but you notice, when the people begin to try to line with the Word, there comes a fresh Message from the Word of God, right straight to the people. And they catch that Message and line up, every time. It’s just in God’s…We have that. We have families. Every family in here is custom to that. Sometimes everything will run fine for you, for years. Then, all at once, you’ll hit a spell where, we say it many times in the South here, “When it rains, it pours,” and everything goes wrong. You’re going through a nighttime. Then there’s a daybreak, then a nighttime. Everything runs in continuity. The prophet, Paul, here is saying that a woman cannot remarry until her first husband is dead. She cannot remarry as long as her first husband is living; she, by no circumstances, at all. She must remain single as long as her first husband is living. And if she should do such a sin, “she shall be called an adulteress.” I’m speaking of the natural now, to type it with the spiritual. If this woman would commit such a sin, then she is marked, “an adulteress,” if she has two living husbands at the same time. Therefore, she has forfeited, by doing this, her rights to God and Heaven, by doing so. She sure has. She is an outcast from the economy of God, according to the Scriptures that I’ve just read.
¶57–¶59 So is the church, when she tries to mix creed and denomination with the Word of God. She can’t be married to a denomination, and be the Bride of Christ, at the same time. She’s got to be dead to one or the other. The law says so, here. There’s plenty of laws in God’s Word. And that’s His law, Paul speaking the same thing here. She cannot be married to a church of worldly creed, and be the Bride of Christ, because she…one is contrary to the other. Now, remember. Say, “Well, we believe this, but we don’t believe That.” If you’re married to Christ, Christ is the Word of God. In Saint John, the 1st chapter, said, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. And the same was made flesh and dwelt among us.” Christ was the living Word. He always was the Word. He is still the Word. He always will be the Word. He was only the manifestation of the attributes of God, for He was the Son of God. And any son is the attributes of his father, and just as you were in the genes of your father, in the body of your father when he was a young boy, you were in him. Yet, he could not have fellowship with you, because he didn’t know you. But then, through the bedding grounds of a mother, you were brought forth into the earth and become in the image of your father, then he could fellowship with you.
¶179–¶182 Now take a good look for a moment, with your own spiritual insight, at your soul. Just look around. I’m speaking across the nation now. Look just a few minutes, you out there in the Branham Tabernacle, you in the tabernacles on the West Coast, and Arizona, and everywhere you’re at. Look at yourself for a few minutes. You say, “That Message you’re preaching, Brother Branham, is wrong.” Look at yourself a little bit. Let the Holy Spirit search your minds with the Word, you’ll agree with the Message. Let Christ, the anointed Word, search out your own conscience. Let Him get into you, see if That’s right or not. And that’s just one or two things I mention, when there hundreds of them. Does the Bible agree with a woman bobbing her hair? [The congregation says, “No.”—Ed.] Does the Bible believe, agree with three, baptisms in the name of “Father, Son, Holy Ghost”? [“No.”] No such a thing. Does the Bible agree with woman wearing man’s clothing? [“No.”] Well, just take them three there, when there’s hundreds of more. Search it out in the Light of God’s Word. You say, “I’m a church member.” So was Cain. So was Eve. The Bible predicts, in the last days, that the Laodicea will be the same. Let the Holy Spirit search your conscience, and you’ll agree with Daniel 5:12, when the queen come in before Belteshazzar, and said she found out that there was a prophet, Daniel, was among them, and he was a dissolver of doubts. You let the Holy Spirit, He is the Prophet of the day, let Him come into your heart right now and examine with the Word of God, and the doubts about the Message will be all dissolved. He dissolves all the doubts. You find out, it’s exactly on the Word for this day.
¶386–¶391 If you believe that with all your heart, I want you to raise up to your feet, turn around to this church, the audience, and raise your hands up, and we’ll sing it together with them, “I surrender everything that’s in me, God. As best of my knowledge, everything that I am, I surrender.” Step up on this platform here, you that’s at the altar. Step right up here on the platform, brethren, right up here, all of you, and brothers and sisters. Looky here, church. [A sister says, “Brother Branham, I belong to church, but lately I’m not—not even in it no more.”—Ed.] Surrender? [“The Lord knows where I want to be led by Him. I want…?…to church. And I want the Holy Spirit, be filled with the Spirit. And I’d sooner die, if that’s what it takes.”] Yes. That’s right. Do you surrender every bit to Him and His Word? A sister here, out of a denomination. She said, “I belong to a denomination.” We don’t have to call it. She’s a worker in there. But she said, “Brother Branham, I want to get out to the Truth. I want something deeper than that.” See? Let me quote His Word. “Blessed are they that do hunger and thirst after righteousness, for they shall be filled.” Now, you here on the platform, that just come, if you are ready to surrender everything that you are, everything, to obey the Word of God…Nobody told you, this week, what to do. Now, if you’re ready to surrender right now to Him, just raise up your hands, like this, to the audience. Now, you here on the platform, let’s sing it together now, I Surrender All. Everybody, together. All right. I surrender all, Now, really mean that!…?…her one day, and how thankful I am. Make her surrender…?… …Saviour,

¶78–¶82a I said, “Well, my, my!” See? I thought they ought to have her in a pesthouse somewhere, you know, keep it from breaking out all over other women. But, you know, you have to plan, look, pray, when you’re choosing. For, we see, by this, the Word of promise. She, the bride that a man would choose, is going to reflect his character. It reflects what’s in him. Now, could you imagine a man, filled with the Holy Ghost, take something like that to be a wife? I—I—I just don’t see it, brother. Now, maybe I’m just an old crank. But, you know, I—I just can’t understand that, see, notice, for it’s going to reflect what’s in him. She is going to help him make his future home. Now, then, when we change back now for a moment, to the spiritual side. And when you see a church that’s in the world, acts like the world, anticipating in the world, partaking of the world, counting God’s Commandments as if He never had wrote Them, then you—you can just imagine Christ ain’t going to take a Bride like that. Could you imagine taking the modern church today for a Bride? Not my Lord. I don’t…I could hardly see that. No. Remember, now, a man and his wife are one. Would you join yourself to a person like that? If you would, it would certainly kind of disappoint my faith in you. And, then, how about God joining Himself to something like that, a regular denominational prostitute? You think He would do it, “Having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof”? He would never do it. She must have His character in her. The real, true, borned- again Church must have the—the character that was in Christ, because the husband and wife are one. And if Jesus did only that which pleased God, kept His Word and manifested His Word, His Bride will have to be of the same kind of character. She could not, by no means, be a denomination.
¶82b–¶86 Because, then, no matter how much you want to say, “no,” she is controlled by a board somewhere, that tells her what to do and what she can’t do, and, many times, a million miles off of the true Word. It’s too bad that we ever got away from the real Leader that God left us to lead the Church. He never sent state presbyters. He never sent bishops, cardinals, priests, popes. He sent the Holy Ghost for the Church, to lead the Church. “When He the Holy Ghost is come, He will lead you into all Truth, reveal these things to you, that I have told you, bring them to your remembrance, and will show you things that is to come.” The Holy Spirit was to do that. Now, the modern church hates That. They don’t like It, so how could she be the Bride of Christ? The people of today is choosing a modern denomination. What it does, it only reflects their poor understanding of the Word. I don’t mean to hurt, but I mean to let it go deep enough till you’ll look at it. I’ve married many couples, but it always reminds me of Christ and His Bride. One of the weddings that I performed here, some time ago, it—it was quite an outstanding thing in my life. It’s been several years ago, when I was just a young minister. My brother was working on the—the PWA. I don’t know whether anybody ever remembers that, yet, or not, anybody as old as me. And that was a—a project that the government had. And my brother worked up, about thirty miles. They were digging out some lakes, a project for the conservation.
¶168–¶171a And we find today, that, the modern church, a modern world church, the modern world church and also that the spiritual Church are both pregnated, to give birth to sons. One of them, a denominational birth, is going to be give, one of… day, to…these days, at the World Council of Churches, which will produce to the world the antichrist, through a denomination. That’s exactly the Truth. I may not live to see it. I believe I will. But, you young people, remember that you heard a minister say that. That’ll finally wind up. And that is the mark of the beast, when she forms that World Council of Churches. And she’ll give birth to her son, the antichrist. The other is pregnated by the Word of God and will bring forth the Body, the finished Body of Jesus Christ, which is the Bride. The Body of Christ isn’t finished yet. How many knows that? A man and woman is one. And Christ is one Body, the Word. The Bride will have to be the rest of that Body. And the two, together, makes the one Body again. Like Adam was at the beginning: man, his wife, are one. Now, She, the true Bride, so sold out to Him, that She use no mind of Her own. His mind, of course, is His will, and His will is His Word. Now look at the so-called bride chosen by man, and compare the spiritual to the natural of today, a modern Jezebel bewitched by her Ahab, Max Factor beauties, everything. Look at the church, the same way, but a prostitute to the Word of the living God; big denominations, big buildings, big money, big salary, all sold out. Men standing in the pulpit endorsing that that’s all right, and let them get by with it. Just deceit, that’s all. Truly a blind Laodicea Church Age, just exactly what the Bible said would be. “Said, ‘I am rich. I set as a queen. I have need of nothing.’ And knowest thou not that you’re poor, miserable, blind, wretched, naked: and don’t know it.” If that isn’t THUS SAITH THE LORD, Revelation 3, I’ve never read It. That’s what she is, and don’t know it!
¶206–¶211 And as I stood there, looking, she passed on by. And you can imagine the back part of her, with nothing on, holding this in front of her as she went shimmying by, like that, to this twist, throwing her limbs out like that. And, her, oh, it was vulgar, how she was carrying on, her body shaking around like that. Now I… You say, “What does it mean, Brother Branham?” I don’t know. I’m just telling you what I seen. And when she passed by like that, I looked at her. Oh, I just got real faint. I just turned around. I thought, “God, I’m condemned. There— there’s no need of me trying any now. Just might as well quit.” Mrs. Carl Williams, if you’re setting here, and that dream that you told me about, a while ago, that you had the other night, that’s been bothering you, there it is. The steering wheel is taken from my hand. Then, I just thought, “I—I just might as well forget it.” I was gone. Then, all at once, I heard It coming again. And coming up on this side come the same Bride that went around this a way. Here come them little ladies again, and each one of them was dressed in their national garb from where they come from, like Switzerland, Germany, and so forth, each one wearing that kind of garb, all long hair, just exactly like the one at the first. And here they was coming, walking. “Onward, Christian soldiers, marching as to war.” And when they all passed by the preview stand where we were standing, just all at once, every eye went that way. And then they turned back, and on they went, marching.

¶32b–¶35 Therefore, you walked with Him, when you were in Him, when He was on earth. You suffered with Him, and you died with Him. You was buried with Him. And now you are risen with Him, and manifested attributes of God, setting in Heavenly places; already raised, resurrected to new Life, and setting in Heavenly places in Christ Jesus. Oh, that means so much, nowadays, Church! That means so much to us, to see ourself positionally placed in Jesus Christ! Now, if we are those attributes of God, we cannot live by creeds. We cannot live by denominationalism. We must live by the Word, because the Bride is a part of the Bridegroom, like any wife is a part of her husband. Therefore, we must be that Word Bride. And what is that Word Bride? The manifestation of this hour, the Bride, not a creed or a denomination; but a living oracle of God, a living attribute of God, displaying to the world the attributes of God, in the formation of the Bride that’s to be expressed in this hour that we’re now living. Martin Luther could not express the attributes that we express, because that that was in the beginning, the resurrection, like the corn of wheat that went into the earth. Now, we quote this again. You probably read the book, that German making fun of me, and said I was a fanatic of all the fanatics. He was—he was absolutely against everything that’s called God, and even made fun of God. Said, “A God that could open the Red Sea and,” said, “take His people out; and set with His hands across His tummy, and let (through the dark ages) all those people die and suffer, those little children be eat by lions.”
¶73–¶74 Someone got after me; a great, noted minister, not long ago. Said, “Brother Branham, come. I want to lay hands on you.” Said, “You’re going to ruin your ministry.” I said, “What?” Said, “Bawling them people out like that.” I said, “I’m telling the…” Said, “I believe that.” Said, “I’m a Pentecostal, too. I believe that women shouldn’t wear short hair, shouldn’t wear paints, and these things like that the way they do, paint their faces up.” Said, “They shouldn’t do that. But,” said, “God called you to pray for the sick.” I said, “He called me to preach the Gospel.” Yeah. And he said, “I believe in that. But,” said, “you think that?” I said, “Yeah. Look what you got, all these big programs, televisions, and everything else. I ain’t got nothing but God to answer to.” That’s right. I said, “I don’t have nothing but God to answer to.” He said, “I—I—I…You’re going to ruin your ministry.” I said, “Any ministry that the Word of God will ruin, ought to be ruined.” That’s right. Certainly. That’s exactly. He said, “Well, you’re going to ruin it.” I said, “Who is going to tell It then? See? Somebody has got to say It. Somebody has got to stand for that what’s Truth, no matter what It hurts.” And friends, as Christian, as people that believe we’re going to Heaven, the Holy Spirit Itself will type us in the Word of God. He said, “You know what you ought to do?” Said, “People believe you to be a prophet.” Said, “You ought to be teaching these women how to get gifts of prophecy and things like that, and great, higher things instead of little thing.”
¶158–¶161 One time they was trying to get her. She didn’t—she didn’t do like the Pentecostal Elvis Presley, sell her birthrights for a mess of Cadillacs. She…Come to her and wanted her to write—write worldly songs. She said, “I would not do it, for nothing.” Said, “Why, you’re blind. When you get to Heaven, how will you know Him?” She turned around, inspiration, so she said: I shall know Him, I shall know Him, And redeemed by His side I shall stand; I shall know Him, I shall know (How?) By the prints of the nails in His…(Otherwise, “If I don’t see Him, I’ll feel His hand.”) I shall know Him, I shall know Him, And redeemed by His side I shall stand; I shall know Him, I shall know Him By the print of the nails in His hand. Don’t it make you love Him? Gone to prepare a place for us! “And if I go and prepare a place, I will return again, to receive you unto Myself.” Little children in travail now, re-obey the commandments of God. And pastor, here, if none of you has been baptized, the water will be ready. And—and membership for the church, or whatever you want to do, or whatever, you do it. You haven’t got the baptism, the Holy Ghost, this is the night to receive It. Don’t you believe that? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] “Oh,” you say, “Brother Branham, it’s late. You done preached too long.” Paul preached all night, one night, this same kind of Message. And a little…A young man fell off of the wall and killed himself. And Paul, so anointed with that same kind of Message, laid his body upon him, and the life come back into him again. He is still “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever.” Don’t you love Him? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] Let’s just, once more, with our hands up, “I love Him. I love Him.” Where’s the pianist? There, if you will, sister, ever who it is. Give us the little chord, if you will. How many love Him? Just raise your hand. Say, “I really love Him. I just love Him, with—with all my heart. I love Him.”

¶271–¶276 Then what do they do? They finally form up in the image unto the beast, another power; notice, and act, to the Lamb’s Bride, like she did in Revelation 13:14. That’s what they do, just persecute, just the same thing. The churches make just as fun of the true Bride of Christ, as Rome ever did. Just exactly. Yes, sir. Acts to the—the real Lamb’s Bride just exactly like she did in Revelation 13:14. Now notice. We see, by God’s Word of promise, He will—He will kill her children, the denominations, her daughters, with spiritual death. Now, that’s Revelation 2:22. Don’t forget it. To kill, is to put to death. And death is “Eternal separation from the Presence of God.” Think of that, friends. Think of that. Don’t you trust in any man-made creeds. Anything that’s contrary to the Word, you keep away from it. Now watch, watch in the Bible here. It said his name was Hell, and…I mean: …his name was Death, and hell followed after him. Now, hell always follows death, in the natural. When the natural man dies, hell follows him; that’s the grave, hades, see, that in the natural. But in the spiritual, it’s the Lake of Fire, see, all right, into Eternal separation, where they’re burnt up. And—and Malachi 4 said, “Don’t even leave them stubble, or branch, or nothing else.” It’s the way the world has of purifying itself again, for the Millennium. See? Have you noticed, the rider is a “he”? And “he” had in “his” hand; “man,” false prophet. But his bride is called the church, “she,” Jezebel. Ahab; Jezebel. Why, it’s just as perfect as anything. See? See?
¶282–¶287 Now, the way He was going to do it, was reach down and get (like He did Adam) a little bunch of calcium, potash, and cosmic light, and, “Whew!” Say, “There is My other son.” See? Then He’d bring up some more, and, “Whew!” “There’s another one.” But what did Eve do? She corrupted that way. And she brought it through a sexual act, then death struck it. Now what is God doing? He’s got so many of those seeds down through there, that’s predestinated; so much, the predestinated. And then, at the end time, He won’t say, “Eve, come bear another child.” He’ll (“Whew!”) call, and I’ll answer. That’s all. That’s it. That’s the idea. When that last one is brought in, that settles it. Now, the battle started in Heaven. It’ll be finished on earth, in the form of Armageddon. Now let’s watch and see it unfold. And maybe we can unfold it. The Lord help us right now to do this now. Watch it unfold. The mysterious rider, watch what he does now; “opposed,” refused to repent and to go back to the original Blood Word. The Word became Blood and flesh. See? He refused to go back to It. Is antichrist! The true Word Bride, is opp-…he is opposed to the true Word Bride. Takes his own bride! He opposes this true Bride, too. And he takes his own bride, and brings her to him, in a form of religion called creeds and dogmas. See? And now, seeing the holy Bride, he is against Her. But he forms his own bride, called antichrist, by an antichrist teaching, which is contrary to Christ. See how shrewd he is? And now, instead of having a unity of love, controlling, worship under Blood, he has got a denomination. Instead of having the Word, he took creeds, dogmas, and so forth.
¶288–¶292 Like, and the Protestant says, “The Apostles’ Creed.” I want you to find a word of it in the Bible. Apostle, there ain’t no Apostles’ Creed in the Bible. As I said here, now, not long ago, or somewhere. If the apostles had a creed, it’s Acts 2:38. Just exactly all I know he ever had. That’s what they called everybody to do. When he found one of them that looked like they were Christians, he said, “Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believed?” Said, “We know not whether there be…” Said, “Then how was you baptized?” Now, being baptized in the Jesus’ Name, or in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ, rather, that, that’s all right, but that’s not all of it yet. No, sir. You could be baptized fifty times, like that, and don’t do a bit of good until that heart is changed by the Holy Spirit. It all has to go together. Notice, it’s—it’s Christ! The antichrist refuses the true Bride Doctrine, and therefore he takes his own bride now and builds her up, under a creed of his own. Takes his own bride and makes her a denomination! She gives birth to other denominations, as quoted in this Holy Scriptures; gives birth to daughters. And she don’t…She becomes just like her mother, natural, worldly, denominational; opposing the spiritual Bride, the Word. They don’t say they don’t belong to church. You talk to a denominational person. “Sure, I belong to church.” Are you a Christian? “I belong to church!” That don’t have one thing to do with It! They say…You don’t belong to Chur-…You, you might belong to what’s called a church, see, belong to a church. That’s not a Church. Them is not Churches. Them is lodges where people get together, and people like, “birds of a feather.”

¶40–¶42 And we hope to get the church up, so I can get these Church Ages in, before—before the winter sets in, if possible. If I don’t, or when I have to come back from over there, if the Lord Jesus tarries. I was listening yesterday when I was taking, believe it was day before yesterday, of a tape. I thought I heard it playing out here this morning. Some little Southern brother had…His mother had come into the meeting. She had a malignancy on her breast, and she was shadowed to death. And the Holy Spirit, in one of the recent meetings, at the Southern Pines, I believe it was, or somewhere, told her, said about her malignancy, and who she was, and where she come from. And said she had a boy that was a backslider, and he was going to have an accident, and be for manslaughter. And a whole lot of things like that. And this fellow… It all happened just the way. And her malignant cancer, or malignant growth, rather, left her. Which is, malignant growth is a cancer, you know. So then it—it left her. And the boy was up for manslaughter, and everything just the way the Holy Spirit said it. And he was led to Christ, back again. And he made a tape of it, and I—I heard it playing. Did you enjoy that little, old Southern talk? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] Said, “Down here in North Carolin’er,” he said. Oh, I just love that, them old Southern people. And he had…The Lord just blessed him on. He said, “I know you say you don’t preach doctrine, Brother Branham; only to your congregation.” Said, “We’re part of your congregation.” So that was right cute in him, to say that.
¶144–¶146 But if This, coming from Above, oh, brother, if It ever strikes this, there is a godly spiritual faith. Then what does that faith do? That faith recognizes only the Word. No matter what anything else says, it only recognizes the Word, because, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” And the Word is still God. “And the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us.” And when the Word Itself is pouring into our faith, our mental faith becomes a spiritual revelation. “And upon this foundation I’ll build My Church.” See? Not upon a mental conception of church joining, a mental conception of That; but upon the revelation, when them streams of grace has poured into that mental faith that you’ve got. Then, upon this, a spiritual revelation, “I’ll build My Church, and the gates of hell can’t prevail against It.” See? That shows they would be against It, but it’ll never prevail. Oh, what a glorious thing! Now see the faith. These five streams… I had a piece of chalk here, but I guess he never brought it out. But the five streams you see coming down through here, tempers this together. It has been the Holy Spirit that made the Ephesus church. It was the Holy Spirit that birthed the Smyrnaean church. The Holy Spirit that give the Pergamos church, and the Thyatira church, in the Dark Ages. It’s the Holy Spirit that’s built that Bride, the Elect that’s pulled out of all the organization systems down through the ages, like that. There’s an Elected, a predestinated Bride of Jesus Christ, that the Holy Spirit has called out the Elect. And it’s been the Holy Ghost in this age, that age, that age, that, that, that, that, on up to the top, the Holy Spirit.

¶90–¶97 Him, “him,” a man whose working is after the working of Satan. …with all power and signs and lying wonders, And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness, deceiving people by unrighteousness, in them that perish (not this Bride), in them that’s looking for such a thing; because they received not the love of the truth,… And Christ is the Truth, and Christ is the Word; but they would rather have a creed. Huh! See? …that they might be saved. And for this cause God has sent them strong delusions, that they should believe a—a lie: It should be translated there, as I looked in the lexicon, “the lie,” not “a lie.” “The lie,” same one he told Eve. That they…might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness. What a statement! My! After the Bride is taken away, then this man of sin will reveal himself. She, the true Bride of Christ, has been elected out of every church age. Now, the other day I made a statement, “The Bride could go Home and you’ll never know nothing about it.” That’s true. Somebody said, “Well, Brother Branham, that would be a mighty small group.” Jesus said, “As it was in the days of Noah,” now you talk to Him about it, see, “wherein eight souls were saved by water, so shall it be in the Coming of the Son of man.” If they was eight hundred went in the Rapture tonight, you would never hear a word about it tomorrow, or the next day, or no other time. They’d be gone and you’d know nothing about it. See, it’d just be the same thing.
¶98–¶104 What am I trying to say? I’m not trying to scare you, worry you. I— I want you to be on your toes. Be ready, watching, every minute. Quit your nonsense. Just get down to business with God, ’cause it’s later than you think. Now, you remember, the true Bride! Now, there is a false bride. We get that in Revelation 17. She said, “I am a widow, and have no need of nothing,” you see, sitting upon this scarlet-color beast, and so forth, the beast, rather. Now, but the true Bride will be made up of thousands times thousands of people, but it will be the Elect out of every church age, every time a Message went forth, and the people believed It and accepted It in all the Light It was, when they were sealed away until that Day of Redemption. Don’t Jesus teach the same thing, when He said, “The—the sound come in the—the seventh watch”? That’s the last church age. See? And said, “Behold, the Bridegroom cometh; go out to meet Him.” And then the sleeping virgin come, rubbed her eyes, and said, “Suppose I ought to have some of that Oil, too, so maybe you’d better have some.” And the real, true Bride standing there, said, “We just got enough for ourself. Uh-huh. We just got enough to get in, ourself. We can’t give you nothing. If you want some, you go pray up.” And while she was gone, the Bridegroom come, and in went the Bride. And then them remnant there, the ones that were absolutely virtuous, the church, was left outside. And He said, “There will be weeping, and wailing, and gnashing of teeth.”
