1. THE TEN VIRGINS, AND THE HUNDRED AND FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND JEWS — 1960-12-11

• ¶60–¶62 Now, remember, the servants has always been…God’s servants is the Jew. Abraham was His servant. The Gentile is not a servant, it’s a Bride, it’s a son. This is the son, the Church is. The Jews are the servants. Oh, if you could just…if we just had time to comb them words out. A lot of times I do in the room there, run it all the way through the references and get it up. The Jews are a servant. If I stand here and take up all that time on “a servant,” I don’t hit the other spots, you see. So just remember, trace that through the Bible, and you’ll find that the Jew is God’s servant. What a beautiful parallel here we could run, if we want to get back to Ezekiel 4, and find out there that He said, “Has anything like this happened before?” He looked at the high walls, and when he did, he seen abominations done in the city. And there went…come forth four men with slaughtering weapons. And they went forth to slaughter everything through the city of Jerusalem. And before he…they went to slaughter, they held, stopped them, for there was another One came dressed in white, with a writer’s inkhorn (How many ever read that?) at his side, Ezekiel 4. Then had this writer’s inkhorn at His side, dressed in white, He said, “Don’t go into the city, don’t slaughter anything until first you have sealed the servants of God in their forehead.” And He went forth and He sealed, even said, to the little children and everything, sealing them.

• ¶109–¶114 If that Man with the inkhorn writer was the Holy Ghost, (We realize that, everybody, reads the Bible.) well, so is this the same Angel coming again with the Holy Ghost, “the seal of the living God.” Ephesians 4:30: “…the Holy Spirit of God…sealed until the day of your redemption.” And they cannot do nothing now until those Jews return. And just a few weeks ago they classed the whole thing together, and become in the UN. It’s ready! We’re at the end, everything’s sealed up now. Now, now watch, to prove that they are Jews, now, I’m going to take the: Saying, Hurt not the earth, neither the sea, or any tree, until we have sealed the servants of our God in their forehead. Now, to prove that this revelation is right, watch this, the 4th verse: And I heard the number of them…were sealed: and there were sealed a hundred and forty and four thousand all of the tribes of the children of Israel. “Israelites.” Where they at? They just now gathered. They’re up there ready, waiting for the sealing time to come. “Of the tribe of Juda was sealed twelve thousand. Tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand. Tribe of Gad, twelve thousand. Aser, twelve thousand. Nepthalim, twelve thousand.” And on and on, Simeon and oh, the…on down to Benjamin, the twelve tribes. And twelve times twelve is a hundred and forty-four thousand. See? Now that’s the one…Now if you look in the 14th chapter, just a moment, here you see: And I looked, and lo, a Lamb stood on…mount Sinai, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand, having his Father’s name written in their forehead.

• ¶239–¶242 Won’t be long till we’ll have to close them doors out yonder, that’s right, or either take a denominational mark. And we’ll close the doors, that’s right, we’ll…we know better than that. Now, now, I want, just for the squeezing down part, before we leave in the next few minutes. Now, the Seal of God is the “Holy Spirit.” All know that, don’t you? All right, we all know that, that the Seal of God is the Holy Spirit. Now that’s found…You take Revelation 9—9:1 to 4, you’ll find that they all had the seal in their forehead. First Corinthians 1:22, Paul said, “Whereby He has sealed us by His Holy Spirit until the day…” Ephesians 4:30, says, “Grieve not the Holy Spirit,” that’s that Angel that come forth sealing upon their forehead. Now, that doesn’t mean you…He takes and puts a spot up there; your forehead is your revelation, see, and your hand is the thing you do about it. See, it’s a spiritual mark. See? He don’t take a big stamp and stamp you like that. Oh, no. Like here a few years ago they said, when the N.R.A. come out, it was this, that or…Don’t look for that, it’s already. The Bible said it begin plumb back there, it’s about run out now. See? That’s right. But He marked the Sealed. See? Now, how was the—how was the first seal, what did it look like? They were filled with the Holy Ghost, that’s right, and their works was the works of Christ. They laid hands on the sick and they recovered, they done all kinds of signs and miracles and wonder. And in their forehead, was sealed by the revelation that He was the Son of God, and they were—they were working with Him (the—the Deity of Christ), there’s the mark.

• ¶245–¶249a And remember, there’s only one hundred and forty-four thousand of the Jews sealed, which was the remnant of the Jews left over. But in this, in the Gentile Bride, in the Gentile Bride, there was tens of thousands times thousands, of those that’s sealed in there, ’cause that’s them martyrs and things that come down through the ages there; they’ll rise in the day of the judgment. What do you think will happen when that brassy judgment feet stands there at that day and them martyrs stand up there before them Romans (perhaps Nicolaitanes back there that had them burnt to stakes 43 and throwed to lions’ dens and things like that), and they stand there as their attorney in the ju-…in the jury box here? And the Judge sitting there on the seat, “Did you preach the Gospel to them?” “I sealed my life away yonder in a lion’s mouth for them.” Ooh, brother! Talk about “depart from Me,” hell will be too good for them! That’s exactly right. “Hold fast. I know them which call themselves…(Nicolaitanes), and call themselves ‘Spirit-filled’ and they’re not.” There, see, there you are. Oh! What a hour is coming, what a dreadful time. God will revenge! “I will revenge,” saith the Lord, “I will recompense!” And every evil deed will see a just…Everything that you ever done or thought in your life will be held against you there, on that great magnetics thing with every evil thought that passed through your mind. Repent, children! There’s only one way to get away from it, come into Christ, and when you go into His lovely five-wounded side there, the five precious wounds in His body, when you see that bleeding yonder and will hide in that, say, “Rock of Ages, I am no good. Hide me over, Rock of Ages.” Feel the precious Holy Spirit, just die out and sail into the body of Christ; rise, to wake to new things, it’s a new world around you. The sins that you once loved is behind you. Oh, there’s nothing future, nothing present, death, nothing else will ever separate you from That. You’re sealed until the day of your redemption, by the Holy Spirit.

If I don’t, or when I have to come back from over there, if the Lord Jesus tarries. I was listening yesterday when I was taking, believe it was day before yesterday, of a tape. I thought I heard it playing out here this morning. Some little Southern brother had…His mother had come into the meeting. She had a malignancy on her breast, and she was shadowed to death. And her malignant cancer, or malignant growth, rather, left her. Which is, malignant growth is a cancer, you know. So then it—it left her. And the boy was up for manslaughter, and everything just the way the Holy Spirit said it. And he was led to Christ, back again. And he made a tape of it, and I—I heard it playing. Did you enjoy that little, old Southern talk? [Congregation says, “Amen.”—Ed.] Said, “Down here in North Carolin’er,” he said. Oh, I just love that, them old Southern people. And he had…The Lord just blessed him on. He said, “I know you say you don’t preach doctrine, Brother Branham; only to your congregation.” Said, “We’re part of your congregation.” So that was right cute in him, to say that.

• ¶298–¶302 Directly, I noticed the people begin to get like they was physically hungry. And so they had enough spiritual, so they started walking away. And some of them [Brother Branham yawns—Ed.] started walking away. I thought, “What’s the matter with everybody?” And—and I looked, and here some young couples going along, to my side. I thought…I said, “Just a minute, friend! Just a minute! You’ll be back again when the evening shadows fall.” See? I said, “You’ll be back again. But let me give you this first climax. Where does all these things come from, that I’ve showed you? Where are they from?” I said, “Here they are. They are in the Word of God. They are THUS SAITH THE LORD, His promise. Cause,” I said, “all of you bear me record, witness this, that my commission is, ‘Stay with the Word.’” I said, “What’s the matter with all of you? Can’t you understand the Word? You must understand It.” And some of them said, “Man, I’d like to have some biscuits,” and so like that. Well, I just thought, “Well, glory to God! If they want biscuits, let them go get them.” So I—I turned around. I thought, “Oh, but, you know what? The shadows is going to fall, after while, right away.” I said, “Then, tonight, when that congregation gathers in again, I’ll put the climax to them, and told them that the things that they have seen me do is found in the Word of God, not in some mythical book or some organization. It’s found in the Word. See? Every bit of it, in the Word, ’cause I’m commissioned to That.”

They were temple eunuch. And it was a selected number that God had taken out of the elect of the Jews. Now, if you’ll notice…If we could just get that just a moment, so it’ll kind of settle it in your mind, where you can really…

• ¶68–¶71 Watch: …sealed the servants of our God in their forehead, Saying, Hurt not the earth,…till we…seal the servants of our God in their forehead. (anyone knows that that’s the Seal of the Holy Spirit; watch) And I heard the number of them that were sealed:…(now, if they’re not Jews, watch this)…and there were sealed a hundred and forty-four thousand all of the tribes of the children of Israel. (not a Gentile in them. That’s at the end time) Watch! The tribe of Juda, twelve thousand; the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand; and on down, Gad, twelve thousand; Nepthalim, and—and—and all the way down to the Aser, and—and Zabulon, and all these twelve tribes of Israel. And twelve times twelve is what? Hundred and forty-four thousand. There’s the hundred and forty-four thousand, Jews! Not Gentile, Jews! That’s not a thing to do with the Bride. So Jehovah Witness is wrong on their doctrine. The Bible plainly says that they are “Jews,” and not Gentiles. They are the servants of God, and the Gentile never was considered a servant. We are sons and daughters, not servants. Now read the rest of It. Like the man eating watermelon, said, “That’s good, but let’s have some more of it.” All right, God’s got plenty of It here. Now, just notice. Now, now we’re on the 8th verse: And of the tribe of Zabulon…seal twelve thousand. All the tribe of Joseph were sealed twelve thousand. Of the tribe of Benjamin was sealed twelve thousand. See, John, being a Jew, recognized every one of them, seen the twelve tribes of Israel; twelve thousand out of each tribe, twelve times twelve being a hundred and forty-four thousand. There they are, not the Church, the Jews. The Bible said here, they were all “the children of Israel,” every tribe named.

I understand, on Daniel, on the tape of Daniel, when the Gospel returns to the Jews, the seventy weeks will begin. Is there a one seventy… one week, seven years, left for the Jews? Or, yet, is there only one half week, one three-and-a-half years left for them? Only one half week. Jesus prophesied, the first half week, as was predicted. Only one half week left for them. Brother Branham, since you didn’t pray for the sick during the week, will you…? (That’s just a request for that.) Brother Branham, will you see me after the ser-…? (That’s a request, see, there.) 209. Would you please explain about Satan being bound a thousand years, and being loosed for the battle of—battle of Revelation 20:8? What relationship does this have with the Battle of Armageddon as mentioned in the Fourth Seal? Will Gog and Magog be gathered from the people of the new earth?

5. THE SEAL OF THE CHRIST — 1955-03-12

• ¶43b–¶45 Tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem till you’re endued with power from on high.” And it went forth from Jerusalem to the Jews, then to the Samaritans, and then to the Gentiles. It was the only way God could do it. Not a bunch of confusion, no, it was very different from Babylon. Babylon they couldn’t understand one another. But here He straightened up Babylon, so they could understand one another. I think today is time when God ought to straighten, when men ought to let God straighten up their hearts, where they can understand one another. Amen. Amen. God, be merciful. Oh, friends, I love you; but look, we’ve got to get back to the Word. That’s right. You say, “Brother Branham, you don’t believe in speak…?” Sure, I believe in speaking with tongues. But you got to put it in its place. I believe in Divine healing, certainly, you got to put it in its place. I believe in shouting, certainly, put it in its place. It all goes in its place. That’s right. But we get it out of place. Amen. That’s awful strong. But just search and see one time, and see if that isn’t right. Notice, when the Holy Spirit come, God sealed them people into the Kingdom of God. And those Jews stood up there and laughed at them, made fun of them, said, “These men are drunk on new wine.” They come out of there with lighthearted, all the fear left them, their hearts on fire, burning with the love of God, going out and preaching, even they couldn’t speak their language, and God was speaking through them to the people, telling them about the resurrection of Jesus Christ. God Himself speaking the…Yet they spoke in tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance. The Holy Spirit was uttering the language of the people that was listening to them, was preaching the Gospel to them.

• ¶47b–¶49a I know that’s kindy hard, but, brother, it’s the truth. Amen. Now, that’s when the Jews received the Holy Ghost. And those people who had a chance to hear it, God speaking through the preachers under inspiration, preaching the Gospel to them, even when they didn’t even know what they were saying. They were preaching the Gospel to those Jews, and they rejected it. God preached the Gospel down through the age for about, from A.D. 33 to 96; still the Jews rejecting it. God turned to the Gentile, and then the mercy of Angel— Angel of mercy left all those Jews, and one of them went to the Gentile church; Paul said, “Lo, we turn to the Gentiles, they will hear it,” and went to preaching to the Gentiles. Then when the great time come, all the big confederation of churches come together and went into the city, and Titus besieged the city, and for years he kept them in there two or three years, till they starved to death, and boil their own children, and eat it. And then they slaughtered them when they come in, so they didn’t have pity on nothing, to fulfill what Ezekiel said. Utterly destroyed, the blood run down, the city was burnt, and the stones not one left on another, because God sent the finished work from Calvary, and people turned a deaf ear to it, and the devil bored their ear; and they are that way yet today. Amen. You said, “That’s…Now, what about the Gentiles.” Let’s turn over here to Revelation the 7th chapter, and we’ll see where the Gentiles was prophesied for this day. Watch, 7th chapter of Revelation, the prophecy given for the Gentile church. And after these things I saw four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, holding the four winds… And I saw another angel coming from the east, having the seal of the living God:…said to the four angels…hold the wind… until we have sealed the servants of our God in their forehead. And I heard the number of them was sealed: and there were sealed an hundred and forty-four thousand…all of the tribes of the children of Israel.

And he said, and so, “Oh,” he said, “you haven’t lost any of your southern idea.” I said, “Nope, nope, that’s right.” He said, “You know what, Billy?” He said, “The other day…I’ve got five hundred members to that church down there,” and he said, “I’ve sent out five hundred cards to get those people to pledge that they would come six months out of the year to Sunday school. Within the year they would register six times in—in…they would register six months in the year, they would come.” And said, “You know how many answered?”

7. THE PHILADELPHIAN CHURCH AGE — 1960-12-10

Now let’s get to Revelation the 7th chapter, see if they were the Bride, 7th chapter of Revelation. Now, I might, I—I…We are talking here, the remnant of Israel, a hundred and forty-four thousand, and so forth, but let’s—let’s just skip that just a little bit and go down here about the 12th verse. Say, it’s a pentecostal meeting there! This is the people that was…oh, see… Well, we’ll start here at the 9th verse ’cause the first is to Israel, and there was a hundred and forty-four thousand of them sealed, which we’re getting to tomorrow. And…After these I beheld, and lo, a great multitude, which no man could number,… Now, remember, from 4 to 8 is Israel, which was the eunuchs, of the temple guard. See, we’ll get it in the morning, the Lord willing. Now, He seals there, all twelve tribes. Of the tribe of Juda, He sealed twelve; Reuben, He sealed twelve; of Gad, He sealed twelve; and Levi; and Zabulon; and Benjamin, twelve. And how many tribes are there of Israel? [Congregation answers, “Twelve.”—Ed.] Well, what’s twelve times twelve? Hundred and forty-four thousand. And they was all the children of Israel; John knowed them, every one, he was a Jew. After this…lo, a great number, which no man could number, (Here comes the Gentile.) of all nations,…kindreds,… tongues, stood before God, and…the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palms in their hand;

9. THE SEVENTH SEAL — 1963-03-24

And then we see the purged church, not the Bride; the purged church, by Tribulation, see, see, coming up here, great number of real sincere hearts that come up out of—of the great Tribulation. Not the Church; It’s gone on, the Bride. There is the church. Now we find out, over a little later, Jesus said that the Throne would set, and how the…they’d stand in the judgment, each one. Now, we find now that these people were sealed with the Seal of the living God (is that right?), these Jews. What is the Seal of the living God? Now, I’m not calling any, hurt to any feelings. I’m just saying, see. Do you know, that, reading after many of scholars who write on this, claim that this group here, blood-washed, are actually the Bride? Did you know that many scholars also claim that the hundred and forty-four thousand is the Bride? What a…There is something got to fit out here, wrong…in here right, ’cause there’s something wrong now. Notice, our Adventist brethren say, that, “The Seal of God, is keeping the sabbath day.” You know that. But I want one speck of Scripture on it, to show that sabbath, or keeping the sabbath day, is the Seal of God. See? It’s just somebody drawed that idea. But if you’ll read Ephesians 4:30, it says, “Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed until the day you…of your redemption,” yes, sir, when the mediatorial work is done, and you are come; Christ comes to redeem His Own. You are sealed; not until the next revival. When you’re once sealed with the Holy Ghost, it’s a finished work, that God has received you, and there is no getting away from it.

10. GOD KEEPS HIS WORD — 1958-03-28

In there, the Bible says, in 22nd chapter, “Whosoever shall take one Word from It, or add one word to It, I’ll take his part from the Book of Life.” We realize that, then, it was altogether given for believers. And It opens the Book of Revelation and reveals Who the Author of this entire Book is. “He is to look upon as Alpha and Omega,” from Genesis to Revelation, Jesus Christ just the same, right straight through. And reveals His complete mystery of Himself, and His plans for His church ages that’s to come, and was sealed in there by Seven Seals. Now, the Book was written, but then, remember, It was sealed with Seven Seals. And these Seven Seals was not to be opened (Revelation 10) until the sounding of the last earthly angel on earth, Revelation 10:7. See? “And in the days of the sounding of the last angel’s Message, seventh angel, the mystery of God should be finished in that age.” That, and that’s the age that we’re living in. We all know we’re living in the Laodicea Age. There will never be another age to it. It can’t be. So, we’re living in the Laodicea Age. And these Seven Seals that’s held that Book, is a mystery to people, should be opened at that day. That’s what He promised. Now, it won’t be nothing outside the Word, because you can’t add to the Word or take from the Word. It’s got to remain always the Word. But the revelation is to reveal the Truth of It, what It is, to make It fit with the rest the Scripture. And then God vindicates that to be the Truth. See?

And then, remember, if the Lord is willing, next Sunday morning I want to do my best, by the grace of God, to explain The Seventy Weeks Of Daniel. As I said this morning, it’s a great Scripture. And it’s not so much to speak on, but to place it where it belongs, to make it fit with the rest of the Bible. And we have started from Revelation 1, got over in the 6th chapter. And, of course, we get in now to the seven last Seals. And those Seals will run from the 6th, last part of the 6th chapter, unto the 19th chapter, inclusive. So it would take a long time. Now, I could take, say, seven nights, and run The Seven Seals, opening them up. But if you do it that way, then the people will miss the great part back here that fills in this. And if they’re not really taught, it might not be good. But the first three or four of them is just happenings that we can take all right, just coming right in a row; but the next of it, then you have to go back into Daniel again, come back over into Genesis, go back over into Revelation, come back down into the Gospels, and just weave it in there, because it’s the trace of Israel, God dealing with Israel. For when the Church goes up, that’s the last of the Church until She comes with Her Lord as Bride and Bridegroom in the 19th chapter; during this time it’s dealing with Israel. And to get The Seventy Weeks Of Daniel in now, it sets the picture for this coming opening, First Seal.

And so he, the staff that he would—he would walk with, he said, “Go lay that on the baby.” But the woman’s faith wasn’t in the staff, it was in the prophet, so she wouldn’t leave him until the prophet laid his own body on the baby, and the baby come to life. It depends on where your faith lays. But in the handkerchiefs, I remember in South Africa at the last trip at Cape Town, and I was there, and I believe it was ten or fourteen sackfuls of handkerchiefs and letters; and they was great, what we call, grass sacks, burlap sacks. And the writer at the paper said, “Brother Branham is superstitious, he was praying over handkerchiefs.” Just not knowing the Scripture, of course. You say, “I’m a church member.” So was Cain. So was Eve. The Bible predicts, in the last days, that the Laodicea will be the same. Let the Holy Spirit search your conscience, and you’ll agree with Daniel 5:12, when the queen come in before Belteshazzar, and said she found out that there was a prophet, Daniel, was among them, and he was a dissolver of doubts. You let the Holy Spirit, He is the Prophet of the day, let Him come into your heart right now and examine with the Word of God, and the doubts about the Message will be all dissolved. He dissolves all the doubts. You find out, it’s exactly on the Word for this day.

And now I’m going to take Acts 2:38 right here, where Peter said, “The Lord Jesus Christ.” And Matthew said, “Father, Son, Holy Ghost.”

For after all the great things that the Lord has done, I still see three wheelchairs setting here and two cots. Now, I don’t know, this might be some of their first nights, I don’t know. But it shouldn’t be that way, they should be well. There’s no reason why that one person can come from a wheelchair, and the other one set there;that ain’t like our Heavenly Father to do such things. It isn’t right that that woman could write us that letter, of those big cancers hanging out on her side and six or eight hours time they were gone, and a famous doctor here in the city said he never seen anything like it in his life.

Now, He said, “In the coming of the last days,” now listen close, He said, “as it was in the days of Sodom, so shall it be in the coming of the Son of man.” Now, just before that He said, “As it was in the days of Noah.” Now, notice, Noah’s time it rained, He said, “They were eating, drinking, marrying, and given in marriage.” That was the immorals, because in Sodom they had got beyond that. See? He said, “In the days of Noah, before the flood, they were eating, drinking, marrying, and given in marriage,” but then when He come to the days of Sodom, He didn’t mention one thing about that. See?

And there was…“He put one foot on land, and one on the sea, and swore by Him that lives, and ever and ever, that, ‘Time shall be no more.’” And when He did, Seven Thunders uttered their voices. And when the Seven Thunders uttered their voices, John said he was about to write. And He said, “Don’t write It.” Uh-huh. See? And he sealed It. See? And his brother being a Jehovah Witness came down. They excommunicated him right quick when he did that. Mr. Wood stopped his contracting and bought a little house next door to me, and is a, really a Pentecostal Christian. I don’t say that no…for as he is setting here, but they’ve been real neighbors, real people. My house, I never have to worry about anything about it, he’s there, just if the yard needs cutting, he cuts it, and just anything like that, just to be near.
